ผู้เข้าแข่งขันเลือกนักสู้ครั้งละ 1 คนเพื่อแข่งขันตอบคำถามแบบตัวต่อตัว โดยผู้เข้าแข่งขันกับนักสู้ในการดวลวัดสปีดแต่ละครั้งจะต้องตอบคำถามข้อเดียวกัน เมื่อคำถามปรากฏขึ้นหากฝ่ายใดฝ่ายหนึ่งเปล่งเสียงออกมาแม้เพียงพยางค์เดียวจะถือว่าเป็นการตอบของฝ่ายนั้นทันที เมื่อเวลาผ่านไประยะหนึ่งแล้วยังไม่มีใครตอบได้ ทางรายการจะค่อย ๆ เฉลยตัวอักษรในคำตอบไปทีละตัวเพื่อให้ทั้งคู่ตอบได้ง่ายขึ้น ถ้าตอบได้ถูกต้องและเร็วกว่าจะได้คะแนนข้อละ 1 คะแนน แต่ถ้าตอบผิดคะแนนจะตกไปเป็นของอีกฝ่ายทันที ฝ่ายใดทำคะแนนได้ครบ 7 คะแนนก่อนจะเป็นผู้ชนะและได้เงินรางวัลสะสมในการดวลวัดสปีดในแต่ละครั้ง และฝ่ายที่เป็นผู้แพ้จะตกรอบ แล้วตกลงไปจากเวทีด้วยหลุมประตูกล ถ้าผู้เข้าแข่งขันชนะในแต่ละรอบการดวล ผู้เข้าแข่งขันก็จะเข้ารอบการดวลรอบต่อไปพร้อมกับขโมยเงินที่อยู่ข้างหน้าของนักสู้มาเป็นเงินสะสมของผู้เข้าแข่งขันซึ่งผู้เข้าแข่งขันจะยังไม่ทราบว่าขโมยมาได้เท่าไหร่ในรอบนั้นจนกว่าจะชนะในการดวล (ในรายการเรียก "ค่าหัว") ไปเรื่อย ๆ (ค่าหัวในรายการจะประกอบด้วย 10,000 บาท และ 10,000 X2) ซึ่งผู้เข้าแข่งขันจะมีตัวช่วยถึง 2 ชีวิต ซึ่งถ้าผู้เข้าแข่งขันแพ้การดวล 2 ครั้งแรก นักสู้ที่เอาชนะผู้เข้าแข่งขันได้จะต้องเป็นฝ่ายตกจากเวทีไปแทนถึงแม้ว่าจะเอาชนะแล้วได้ค่าหัวก็ตาม โดยนักสู้ทั้งสิบจะมีเงินค่าหัว 10,000 บาท 8 คน และเงินค่าหัว X 2 อีก 2 คน ถ้าหากผู้เข้าแข่งขันสามารถเอาชนะนักสู้ได้สำเร็จครบทั้ง 10 คนจะได้รับเงินค่าหัวที่ทำสำเร็จไว้จะถูกดับเบิ้ลเงินค่าหัวเป็น X2 (รวมมูลค่าสูงสุดถึง 240,000 บาท) แต่ในทางกลับกันถ้านักสู้สามารถเอาชนะผู้เข้าแข่งขันจนกระทั่งผู้เข้าแข่งขันใช้ตัวช่วยถึง 2 ชีวิตไปจนหมดทั้ง 2 ครั้งได้สำเร็จ เงินค่าหัวที่ทำสำเร็จไว้ก็จะถูกดับเบิ้ลเป็น X2 เช่นเดียวกัน
